This past Sunday, September 27th our very own instructor, Joe Marino made the biggest commitment of them all...he got married! The wedding was beautiful and we wish nothing but the best for Joe and his lovely bride, Christina! We will see Coach Joe back in classes next week once he returns from his honeymoon in Japan!!

This past weekend at Ring of Combat 26, Lester Caslow defeated previously undefeated fighter, Matt McManmon via first round arm bar! Fellow teammate(from The Armory in Jupiter, FL) Edwardo Guedes also won his one sided battle against John Salgado via a unanimous decision! Coach Kurt couldnt be more proud, it was a great night!

Up next we have Craig Theime, Pete Burdge, and "Super Dave" Zennario fighting this Friday, September 18th at the Asylum Amateur fights. Pete will look to keep his undefeated record, while Super Dave makes his amateur debut!

A big congratulations goes out to Jono Caputo, our 8 year old BJJ standout! Jono competed in this past weekends NJSBJJF Tournament in Lakewood. Coach by our very own Coach Super Dave, Jono earned first place honors in both the Gi and No Gi tournaments! All of his hard work is surely paying off.

Its back to work tonight for Jono as he prepares for the next tournaments with the rest of the BJJ team.

This Wednesday evening, August 19th, Coach Kurt will throw out the opening pitch at the Lakewood Blue Claws game! It is Martial Arts night at the park and our very own Coach Kurt Pellegrino was invited to open the night, fresh off his dominating win over Josh Neer at UFC 101 last weekend.
