Jono Caputo continued his winning ways this past weekend at The Grapplers Quest. Jono placed 1st in both Gi and No Gi kids ADAVANCED divisions! Jono brought home two championship belts. We are all very proud of Jono, his hard work is paying off!

The summer is finally upon us and we have a few announcements to make!

SUMMER SPECIALS START THIS HOLIDAY WEEKEND! We are offering special rates from Memorial Day to Labor Day, take advantage! See Chris Keller at the front desk for details.

Check out our new schedule effective June 1st. We are adding a Monday and Wednesday 10am No Gi Grappling class for adults. For kids, we are replacing the Thursday kickboxing class with No Gi Grappling. Tuesdays will remain Kickboxing for the month of June until we can evaluate which class (No Gi or Kickboxing) is more popular. These new classes are adding to our already packed schedule. If you aren’t already a member, now is the time to join!

Competition Updates:
Please always check our announcement board for the latest grappling tournaments. Grapplers Quest National Championships is coming up June 12th in Morristown NJ, see the front desk for more details.

Our fight team is also busy in the next few months! Jeremy Lehive is fighting at the Ring of Combat's amateur show on June 5th at the Raritan Expo Center.

Dave Church, Lester Caslow, and Steve Deangelis are all fighting at the Ring of Combats's pro show at the Tropicans in Atlantic City on June 11th. Both Lester and Steve are fighting for championship titles! If you haven’t done so, get your tickets now, there are only a limited number left. It will be a great night!

In other fight news, our very own head instructor, Coach Kurt Pellegrino will be fighting George Sotiropolous at UFC 116 on July 3rd. Coach Kurt has been training hard and is looking forward to putting on a great show for everyone. Be sure to order pay per view for UFC 116, as Coach Kurt is the 1st fight on the MAIN card!! Rounding out our summer is Greg Soto fighting at UFC 118 in Boston Mass! Greg is taking on a tough Nick Osipczak, but is looking to come back strong from his last DQ loss to Matt Riddle at UFC 111.

Monday, April 5th we will resume our Womens Cardio Kickboxing Classes. Professional UFC fighter Greg Soto will be teaching classes 4 days a week. The schedule is as follows:

Monday and Wednesday - 9am to 10am
Friday - 630pm to 730pm
Sunday - 11am to 12pm

Join before May 5th and receive a sprecial introductory rate of $99 per month for unlimited classes.

*Boxing gloves required for class can be purchased at our gym or feel free to bring your own.

This past weekend Coach Kurt scored an overly impressive victory at UFC 111 over a very tough Royler Gracie Black Belt, Fabricio Camoes. The end came in the 2nd round when Coach Kurt secured a rear naked choke and submitted his opponant. This was said to be Coach Kurt's most impressive victory in the octagon thus far. To top it all off, Coach earned the prestigious "Submission of the Night" bonus...which is his 5th bonus in his 10 UFC fights.

Congratulations on a well deserved victory to our very own!

To celebrate, please join us at Farrell's Restaurant and Bar in Pt Pleasant Beach on Thursday April 1st at 9pm. They are hosting a post-fight party for Coach Kurt in honor of his win. Please join us for food and drinks! All are welcome, come celebrate with us!

This passed weekend at UFC 111 our very own Greg Soto made a life long dream come true by making his UFC debut. Greg represented our team extremely well and fought with a giant heart. Unfortunatley Greg had a lapse in judgement and executed an illegal up kick to his opponant in the 3rd round. He immediately knew his mistake and apologized to Mr Riddle. This unfortunately disqualified him from the bout. Greg is looking to improve and looking forward to his next UFC fight!

Due to Thiago Alves not being able to fight on the UFC 111 card this Saturday because of medical reasons, the UFC has promoted Coach Kurt's fight vs Fabrico Camoes to the main card to be aired on pay per view!! Greg Soto's fight remains on the undercard, but the chances of his fight now being aired if time allows, are even greater!

Tune in to pay per view this Saturday March 27th for UFC 111. Watch Team Pellegrino go to war!!!
